Obama leads top Republicans?

By Carmen D. on Friday, December 21st, 2007, 9:27 am Comments

Yes, according to the latest Zogby poll:

UTICA, New York – Illinois Sen. Barack Obama would defeat all five of the top Republicans in prospective general election contests, performing better than either of his two top rivals, a new Zogby telephone poll shows.

His margins of advantage range from a 4 percent edge over Arizona Sen. John McCain and a 5 percent edge over Arkansas’ Mike Huckabee to an 18 percentage point lead over Mitt Romney of Massachusetts, the survey shows. Against New York’s Rudy Giuliani he leads by 9%, and against Fred Thompson of Tennessee he holds a 16 point edge. Zogby Poll: Obama Leads Top Republicans

Do you think respondents are being honest when polled? Why or why not?

Carmen, it is not in your best interest to sit any election out. You must make a choice. Not making a choice is, indeed, making a choice, so what you get back you can only blame yourself for. Not participating in something that so much blood was spilled for, so much humiliation endured because people like you were only 1/4 human. None of the choices we have before us are great, as far as we can tell, but at least we have a choice. I believe only 20% or 30% of the population actually vote. What a shame!

Yes, most of us get the little news we get through television and the debates were an absurdity. None of the relevant questions affecting this country were asked. Where is the money coming from to fix our corroding infrastructure? How are we going to better educate the masses? Why are we allowing the media to become a monopoly? Where is the money coming from to support all the unwanted babies born due to the elemenation of Roe vs. Wade, should that happen? Are we going to continue to allow the destruction of the Constitution piece by piece? What kind of health care will be have if the government controls it, and will quality medical health care be only for the rich? Many good doctors are already refusing to take health insurance and medicare and the patient must pay out-of-pocket. At $250 a visit, most of us can't afford it. What is going to be done about the Nation's huge debt whereby we owe trillions of dollars to China, Japan, Saudi Arabia, England, Germany, etc., etc.? We have buried our heads in our fancy cars.

We are a country in major decline and we need your vote, Carmen!!!!

sign up for zogbys online polls and you will get an idea of how he formats his surveys. for example i said i liked everyone but her and had every dem beating the repubs but her. I have been a part of his polling for about 4 years and i guess he keeps getting back to me because i fill a certain demograph in my area that is probably rare.
  • Very interesting fcg#p but how did you alter your response given the "hatred" of Hillary? I have my ideas about this poll and all others. I don't believe/trust any of them. Who is a likely voter? I have not missed an election since I was 18 and I may just sit this one out depending on how things go. I will write a fuller, more thoughtful post in the New Year.

    Merry Christmas to you.

they are not being honest and i can attest to this because i was part of
the poll. there is nothing that galvanizes the right more than their hatred of hillary clinton. its the same effect as the left media pushing huckabee trying to help get him nominated. with the revamped primary schedual, there are enough evangelicals in early states to lock him in and they know he would get slaughtered in the general election. reverse voting effect. a horrible side effect of our current political divide
