Last night’s HBO Special ‘The Greatest Silence: Rape in the Congo’ rocked me. I’ve known of this unfathomable tragedy for years, but I did not realize it was still going on and that this savagery was still spreading unabated. That realization has had me in tears intermittently since the show ended. In 2001, ‘Nightline’ did a special ‘Heart of Darkness’ and and I still remember images from that program. Things have only gotten worse.
