Your post answered my question: it was “your” sense that Clinton had a sense of entitlement. I didn’t use the word “personal”, but have no issue with it.

My question, perhaps inartfully constructed with a tinge of sarcasm was more precisely: Did he tell you he had a “sense of entitlement” or did you presume it was “his sense of entitlement” rather than an “anger”. Nothing more and you’ve answered it.

I hope I’ve clarified myself?

I’m really tired of Pres. Clinton holding this grudge. He really needs to get over his bitterness at the fact that his wife lost. Seriously, he needs to get over it. Its time to unite in this fight against McCain. McCain should have been the main target in the first place.

I see they’ve kissed and made up now – at least on the surface. After all the mud slinging between the two campaigns pre Obama’s presumptive win – mostly from the Clinton camp of course – any friendly gestures from either side will just seem rather superficial. The damage has already been done. But Barack is smart enough to know that he will need the Clintons on his side if he’s to beat McCain, not necessarily in his cheering squad, but definitely not on any opposing teams. I’m still not ruling out the possibility of him choosing Hillary as his running mate, especially if McCain surprises with a women as his VP. There’s already a chorous section building for Carly Fiorina!

KC, just to echo Carm’s sentiments: all throughout this campaign season, the Clintons have been racially defaming the Obama camp with parenthecial hints/references hoping that people didn’t pick up on them. Essentially, they’ve been throwing rocks with hidden hands. But to their suprise and perhaps their chagrin, people DID start to pick up on their bu**sh** and called them out for it. Now Bill’s response is to get pissed at Obama…? I mean, really…?

Even if you don’t agree that Willy’s anger is forged in entitlement, you can’t deny that it’s at least a little bizarre.

Simply put: Bill getting put on trial for attacking the victim doesn’t allow him to get mad at the victim.

If you want to know how much class Bill Clinton has, just remember how he was smoking a victory cigar after Judge Susan Webber Wright dismissed Paula Jones’ sex harassment case. Clinton had suborned perjury and helped Monica Lewinsky file a false affadavit to secure that dismissal.

Later, after the full story came out, the victory cigar seemed particularly crass.

Hi KC! Welcome to the conversation.

No. Regular old grade A anger doesn’t lead you to do deeply self destructive things continuously like whine/mouth off to associates who then relay the conversations to the press. Even Andrea Mitchell confirmed it on MSNBC this morning – Bill is pissed about his “record” but also about Obama’s candidacy in general. That means Bill has no qualms about people seeing his rage. IMHO that goes beyond anger and I believe it’s his sense of entitlement – entitlement not to be questioned or challenged – that lives at the heart of his rage toward Obama.

And if you are a frequent blog reader you know that many of us in the blogosphere called the Clinton’s on their race tinged sniping before the Obama campaign picked up on it. Now I know the Obama campaign promoted our observations, but I watched the news cycles and frequently wrote about incidents a full 24 hours before MSM picked up on them. Many of us did.

Meanwhile, where is the outrage from Clinton supporters about Clyburn getting death threats? Just wonderin’?

Also, I don’t quite understand your insinuation of my expression of personal entitlement in this post and I would like to. Would you pls. explain a little further?

PS – You never have to hold punches here. I am a DC native. This is just my style.

as far as i am concerned they can both kiss our collective american asses. chalk it up to general principal for making us listen to this crap rather than legitimate debate on how to solve americas problems.

Couldn’t it just be plain ole “anger” expressed in defense of his wife?

Might he be angered with what he perceives has been unfair treatment of his wife by the Obama campaign?

At least as angry as Barack when on morning TV he expressed his “prediction” and a warning, that if they think their gonna treat Michelle unfairly, they’ve not going to get away with it.

Is it your sense of his sense of “entitlement” or has he told you?
