I really miss New York City’s St. Patty’s Day parade. Maybe there’s one here in Hellay too, but I haven’t found it. Some of my most laugh out loud inducing memories are anchored around St. Padraic’s Days past. Whew. Those obligatory pub crawls and parties were indeed the stuff memories are made of. Glad I have them.

I considered writing a serious post about my grade school friend Maura G. who came home from a visit to her extended family in Belfast and cried everyday in the cafeteria about seeing tanks roll past her window. Or how reading ‘Trinity’ opened my life and understanding of ‘the troubles.’ Or how ‘Angela’s Ashes’ resonated with me. But no, I’ll save those stories; instead let’s celebrate!
