I know the hostility is more visible since 11/2008, and have experienced it up close and personal in one incident where my racist landlord kicked me and several other blacks out of the building "for no reason". By law she could get away with this by giving only a 60 day notice. And then there was my one of high school kid's teacher, who was nasty to the black kids for over a week after Barack was sworn in. If you add in those kinds of "hate crimes", I figure that number magnifies at least a hundred fold. As they define it, probably.
